Rescue is the beginning. Restoration is the goal. This fall, a team from Scarborough is heading to Manila to help 50 young women build lives marked by dignity, hope, and freedom.
Hidden in plain sight, here and abroad.
For more than 70 years, our church family has served the Scarborough community through practical acts of compassion, justice, and hope. That commitment reaches both locally and globally, toward some of the world's most vulnerable people.
One of our key outreach priorities is combating human trafficking, particularly the exploitation of children and youth. Here in Scarborough, we support organizations such as Fight4Freedom in their work to prevent trafficking and restore survivors.
Internationally, we partner with trusted organizations in the Philippines and India that rescue young women from human trafficking and provide comprehensive restoration and reintegration programs.
Two weeks in Manila.
This fall, we are sending a team of young professionals from Scarborough to Manila, Philippines, for a two-week capacity-building mission.
During this project, approximately 50 young women who have been rescued from trafficking will receive vocational training, life skills development, mentorship, and professional coaching designed to prepare them for meaningful employment and long-term independence.
Our shared vision is to see both rescue and complete restoration — young women given the opportunity to build stable careers, secure housing, and lives marked by dignity, hope, and freedom.

Our goal

Every gift, regardless of size, moves another young woman closer to healing, independence, and a future free from exploitation.

Provides training materials, supplies, and program resources for multiple participants.

Helps equip vocational and professional skills workshops that prepare survivors for employment.
- $5,000
Helps deliver two weeks of intensive vocational training, professional mentorship, life skills development, and career readiness programming for rescued young women preparing to re-enter the workforce.
- $10,000
Funds approximately one-third of the entire mission, equipping nearly 50 rescued young women with vocational instruction, employment preparation, mentorship, and the practical skills needed to pursue long-term independence.
Donations are made payable to Global Kingdom Ministries. Eligible charitable tax receipts are issued for all contributions.
